Product Information
25000 Predatory Mites Neoseiulus Californicus, Tip Top Bio Control
Neoseiulus Californicus: is a predatory mite that attacks two spotted spider mites, broad mites and cyclamen mites. They are a pinkish red color, obvious long legs, and they are oblong in shape. This form of predatory mite works great on crops such as cucumbers, tomatoes, strawberries, tropical plants, and greenhouse plants. They may also be used in gardens and orchards. The Californicus tends to be calmer than Mesoseiulus Longpipes and Phytoseiulus Persimilis which are both also predatory mites. However due to the Californicus being calmer they will survive longer under harsh conditions. Californicus prefer warm weather roughly 50 degrees to 95 degrees. They can also survive very low temperatures for small periods of time and can survive in humidity ranging from 40 percent to 60 percent.
Life Cycle Stages: Egg, Larvae, Protonymph, Deutonymph and Adult. Sex Ratio ? females predominant 4:1. Completes a generation in one to two weeks depending on temperature.Target Pest: Neoseiulus californicus attacks two spotted spider mites, broad mites, and cyclamen mites. Good for lower spider mite densities. Neoseiulus survives on pollen in the absence of prey. Effective on cyclamen, strawberry, corn, grapes, roses, vegetables, ornamentals and interiorscapes.
