Made in Denmark since 1969, stonewool is widely recognized as the ideal growing substrate. For any growing application, stonewool offers speed, ease of use and cleanliness. Grodan stonewool is known for its quality, consistency and performance. Growcubes in 23 gallon bag.
Growcubes are small 1/4 inch cubes of stonewool (rockwool).
There are several advantages:
- When the cubes are wetted, they stack on top of each other leaving airspace in between the cubes.
- Each cube has four surfaces from which excess water can drain. This way, even if you water a lot, the Growcubes will not get water logged.
- You have less algae growth on the top than with the smooth surface Gro-blocks.
- The Growcubes are the driest of our products with properties of a 50/50 mix. (50% water/50% air)
- Very easy to mix with any other potting mix. Try combining with our OMRI certified Coco-Dan grow mix or croutons.
- Special advantages are achieved by mixing Growcubes in with clay pellets. The Growcubes will help spread the water in the container as well has keeping a water buffer in between the watering.
- Light weight- approx. 1/10 of the weigh of a bag of potting soil.
